This is where your musical journey begins! Designed for complete beginners, this class provides the essential skills and foundation needed to play your instrument with confidence. Students learn proper posture, right- and left-hand technique, instrument care, and the fundamentals of reading music in a supportive, encouraging environment.
Classes combine learning by ear with reading from the class method book, helping students develop strong listening skills while gradually building music literacy. By the end of the course, students will have the confidence and foundational skills needed to continue into the next level of instruction.

Completion of the Prelude Class or teacher approval.

Students should demonstrate proper posture and playing technique and be able to perform simple melodies, such as French Folk Song.

Class Focus:
Ready to make music with others? This multi-level ensemble class is designed to help students grow as musicians while experiencing the excitement of playing in a group. Music is carefully selected with parts of varying difficulty, allowing each student to be challenged at their own level while making a meaningful contribution to the ensemble.
Students will continue developing strong technique, musicianship, music-reading skills, listening skills, and ensemble performance while working toward polished group performances. Whether you're building confidence or tackling more advanced repertoire, this class provides a supportive and encouraging environment where every musician has an important role to play.
Sonata Symphony Orchestra Class
($300)
Begins Saturday, Sept. 12th 10:00 - 11:30

Completion of the Aria Class or teacher approval.

Students should demonstrate confidence reading music and playing independently on their part.

Class Focus:
Take your ensemble skills to the next level. Chamber Ensemble is designed for students who are ready to become more independent musicians while deepening their understanding of collaborative performance.
Unlike larger ensembles, chamber music places greater responsibility on each performer. Students explore repertoire that features independent musical lines, learning how to balance, communicate, and respond to one another without relying on a conductor. Emphasis is placed on musical independence, ensemble communication, stylistic interpretation, and developing an understanding of each instrument's role within the group.
Through rehearsals and performances, students strengthen their listening skills, artistic expression, and confidence while experiencing the rewarding challenge of making music as a true chamber ensemble.
